I enjoy hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, shooting sports and just about anything outdoors. I love the freedom and solitude of the remote, off-grid Alaska lifestyle that I lived for many years -- until a couple of years after my husband died. I still have my Alaska land and cabin. I'm at a new point in life. My son (now 20) and I have been living in the Ozarks. I'm willing to relocate as long as it's rural. Even though I'm most comfortable in the woods, I clean up nice when I go into town.
My late husband and I homesteaded off-grid on a fly-in lake in the Alaska bush. Alaska is truly an awesome place. While out at my cabin, I cook and heat with wood, haul water from a spring and have no indoor plumbing. If I didn't have to go outside from time to time in the middle of a cold winter night, I'd miss some incredible Northern Lights.
God (YHVH) and the Bible are absolutely first in my life, and I want a man who feels the same. At the very least, I want someone respectful of my beliefs. I believe we are in the end times, and it's important to understand what that means. Things are getting ugly in these Last Days, and I don't particularly want to go through it alone. I observe the Sabbath on the 7th day of the week, but I'm fine with attending church on Sunday, too. I eat Biblically clean foods (basically no pork or shellfish), and I observe the Feasts/Set-Apart times of the Bible -- Bible Holy-days or Holidays (Passover, Sukkot, Shavuot, etc). I'm not Jewish. I do my best to follow the whole Bible, Genesis through Revelation, and I try to walk as our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) walked.
I'm affectionate and feminine, but I'm also strong and independent. My political views are very conservative. I have no debt. I have never been on welfare. I own my off-grid land and cabin in Alaska. In many ways, I'm old fashioned and traditional. I grow a garden and put food up for the winter. I pick berries and make jellies, jams, syrup, fruit leather. I make soap, and knit mittens and socks. I homeschooled my son.
My son loves riding and working with horses, hunting, fishing, and trapping, and helps with the chores. No video games or TV here. He works hard and has an exceptional work ethic. He was a volunteer firefighter and on the EMS squad for a couple of years. He has also become quite a good mechanic and loves tinkering with engines, farm equipment and ham radios. He is currently studying to take the FAA ground school private pilot exam. He hopes to begin flight training soon, and eventually would like to be an aviation mechanic. For a homeschool project several years ago, both of us studied and passed the licensing exam to become ham radio operators. He has gone on to pass the General class exam.
I'm an RN, but I'm very much into natural medicine. I mostly use wild plants and essential oils when needed. I became a certified Bowen Therapist, and I see clients in their homes. Bowen is a wonderful, very effective type of physical therapy. It's really amazing, and I'm blessed to be able to help people in this way.
Character is most important. I'm looking for a man who loves God, believes in and tries to live by the Bible, who has strong character and grit --- a man who is godly, courageous, honest, respectful and independent.
