It's hard for me to talk about myself to a generalized audience. It's much easier to talk about myself to a specific person - which I will do happily; nothing to hide. My relationship with Jesus is the number one most important thing in my life. But that doesn't mean we're automatically a good match. We've got to get to know each other a little bit to know that.

I have nothing against young-looking Catholic widows, but if you have a profile that says that you're in your 50s with pics of someone who looks like they're in their 30s, and you're Catholic and you're a widow... please don't. You're not a real person. My apologies to real Catholic widows who've aged well, it's just that I do notice certain patterns common to scammers. Also, if you have a profile that is completely blank - sorry, I gotta know something about you beyond just what you look like. If you try to get my attention by adding me to your favorites but you clearly have not read this my profile - don't expect to hear from me. Sorry for the negativity, ladies. It's just that you probably have NO. IDEA. what percentage of you here on this site are running some kind of a scam.
Sorry to be that guy - I know how difficult it can be when people have... expectations. For example, I was once on this other dating site and a lady had a profile that said, "If you're going to message me, you have to have all your teeth." I sent her a message and said to her, "I have all my teeth. I keep them in a jar on top of my TV set." She never wrote me back.

- As far as "online dating" goes - I'm not sure if there really is such a thing as an "online date", so I'm not really sure how to answer that. But as for a live in person date - I think a setting that encourages conversation, such as a coffee shop, is a good place to start.
