I am not interested in anyone from South America, Asia, or from Africa. I'm a Christian first and foremost, and my life in Christ defines who I am in this world. I'm saved by Grace. I have a personal relationship with God, and it's the most important thing to me. I enjoy reading the Word on a daily basis, learning from His Truth, praying, attending church, and spending time with other believers. I'm looking for a Christ filled woman who feels the same, in order to share this together, along with many other interests and activities that we have. I try to see things in the world from a Biblical based view. I am willing to relocate if the Lord provides the right person to marry. As a believer, I'm looking forward to the "rapture".
My parents celebrated their 63rd Anniversary last March. They taught me that honesty and keeping your word are two of the most important things in a person's character and life. They've lived that out in their life together. I've been blessed to observe this over my lifetime.
You'll find me to be someone who is very kind, have a gentle heart, honest, keeps his word, is straight-forward and has "common-sense" and logic, knows how to share and to lead in a relationship, is romantic and affectionate, has drive and ambition, and diligence. I know how to treat a woman with kindness and respect. Affection and physical touch are important for me to both give and receive. My love languages are "physical touch", and "words of affirmation". I'm a guy who isn't afraid to share or express my thoughts and feelings. I want someone "real" who is able to do that also.
I'm conservative, and believe in our Constitution, and am a supporter of our 1st & 2nd Amendment Rights.
I was raised on a grain crop and livestock farm in northern Iowa, and wouldn't trade that experience for anything. I learned to trust God for the outcome of things with farming and life. I gained my sense of responsibility, determination, and ability to work hard and to also have fun and enjoy life in those younger years which have carried me through life.
I love the outdoors and taking a three-mile walk for an hour most every day. I enjoy hiking, woodland trails and rocky climbs, bicycling, kayaking and being on the water. I like photography, and I enjoy the four seasons, though I admit I wish the winter season was sometimes shorter. :) X-country skiing and snowshoeing can help make it shorter. I like target shooting and I have enjoyed this since I was a young boy.
I enjoy gardening and raising some of my own vegetables. I like cooking, grilling, and helping in the kitchen. I enjoy board games, card games, bowling, and shooting pool. I'm interested in learning to play pickleball. I've enjoyed playing tennis, and playing golf years ago and need someone who will be patient with me if I learn to play again and to be good at it. Recreational pistol and rifle target shooting is fun, though I'm not a hunter. I'm interested in learning to partner dance.
I have a passion for history, and enjoy museums and historical events. I like historical antiques, and am a collector. I love art museums. I enjoy the state fair and county fairs. I like to read, both non-fiction, and fiction titles.
I love travel, both local day trips, and weekends away, and extended vacations. I was fortunate to live in the gorgeous city of Prague, Czech Republic for almost a year, working there, and getting to travel in the country. Once you've been to Prague, they say it tugs at your heart and always makes you want to come back. I agree fully! Several European countries are on my bucket list to visit. I'm passport ready, and eager to travel again. Switzerland is at the top of my list.
I enjoy live theater, musicals, orchestral music, dinner theater, and a wide range of movies. I mostly listen to Christian music which I enjoy the most. I also like classical, big band music, jazz, some blues, 50's, and older country, bluegrass, and 70's/80's lighter rock. I don't care for hard rock, acid rock, or rap.
I'm of German ancestry on my dad's side of the family, and Norwegian and English on my mom's side. I like genealogy, and my relatives have traced our family tree when I was younger. I'm looking for my last first date that eventually leads to a lifetime committed relationship with a woman who loves the Lord, and knows that with us both putting Jesus first in our lives as a couple, that will get us through any curve balls that life throws at us.
I have chosen based on my extensive independent research to NOT be injected with the Covid 19 mRNA shots. I'm not anti-vaccine, just anti-mRNA shots. I have previously taken all of the polio, smallpox, measles, and other regular older type of vaccines years ago. I took the 2-series shingles shots in the fall of 2020, since I had chicken pox as a kid. I hope the woman who is looking for me will have this same heart and will not have taken the mRNA shots.
I'm in the process of losing more weight since I began last year. I enjoy eating healthy and will continue the process. I hope to find someone who appreciates me doing this, and will be patient and supportive while the process and change continues to go forward for me.
Even though not one of us is guaranteed tomorrow and what it may hold... It is my heart's desire to have an amazing relationship with a Christ filled woman who is full of great joy and realizes and appreciates the immeasurable grace we have from God, in loving and serving Jesus together as a couple, and serving others... It's important to say that I am willing to Relocate! I fully trust the Lord can make that happen when I meet the right woman who loves and serves our Lord Jesus Christ first in her life.

I appreciate and follow Pastors Jack Hibbs, Irwin Lutzer, Charles “Chuck” Swindoll, the late John MacArthur, the late Charles Stanley. I follow Jan Markell's Olive Tree Ministry.
