- About Me
-
Basically, I'm 64 years old, been widower for 2 years (she was my 2nd wife) I have 3 grown sons & 10 grandkids. I served as a Southern Baptist pastor in Texas and North & South Dakota and Nebraska. I am in a wheelchair due to disability from MS &/or other neurological type condition. I am looking for a lifetime partner to love. I'm not hiring a nurse.
My dad taught me by word and by modeling how to treat my wife. She is to be #2 in my life—2nd only to my relationship with God.
My Meyers/Briggs personality type is ENFP. I am a very outgoing extrovert (I enjoy being around people—often whether we talk or not).
In love languages I am “multilingual.” Spending time together, words of affirmation, touch are all dear to me. I have a good education in the language of gifts, I am better at giving than receiving though God has been helping me to improve. I have learned that it isn't necessarily the value of the gift but that I think of her and take to me to get her something when we are apart.
I learned from my dad that my wife should be on the “throne” in my heart, second only to Jesus.
I enjoy cooking, though I am better at eating than cooking. My specialty is probably Angel Food Cake from scratch.
- First Date
- Spending time together to learn about each other. Lots of talking, watching, listening etc. Best place may be a restaurant but open to other ideas. Another good place may be cooking together-this may be the best test to see our communication skills. I would say taking a drive just to talk, but I want to do something that allows us to feel and actually be SAFE.
