- Hello! I believe in mutual respect, authenticity, honesty, openness, and vulnerability as foundation stones of healthy relationships. I am a casual person, not interested in assuming airs or being fancy. I believe in healthy living. I am a vegetarian who seeks organic food. I love walking in nature. I serve on a mission group for a silent retreat center. My faith holds that the inward and outward journeys need to be closely interrelated. I live on church property that includes forests, meadows, and bodies of water, as well as several ministries. It is a small ecumenical church in which I am an Elder. We see ecumenicism in both the dimension of fellowship among all Christians regardless of affiliation, and what our founder called "deep ecumenicism" that respects that of the divine in people of all faith traditions and none. I believe in the consistent life ethic, opposing the taking or disrespecting of any life. I have been active in promoting peace, racial justice, the pro-life movement, and care of creation. I love Mother Theresa's concept of belonging to one another as central. I am a positive person and see gratitude as an essential part of my way of life. I have daily spiritual practices of Centering Prayer, prayers of gratitude, intercessory prayer, and Bible reading.

- For a first date, I see the priority as being to get to know one another. I am flexible as to how to do that. It might be a quiet dinner, a walk in nature, or something else. It needs to allow plenty of time to converse with each other. It is a time to get to know what makes each other tick.
