I have recently moved from Colorado Springs CO to Springfield MO.
This is it. Brutal honest truth comming up. . .
I am 47, have been depressed since '85. currently waiting for disability to go through.
I am fairly strong in my faith, (but I know there is always room for improvement) which means suicide is not an option. looking for someone to help me out of my introverted shell and start having a reason to enjoy life.

I was a Personal Care Attendant for almost 12 years. it took me that long to realize it was a verbally abusive, controlling and manipulative situation. I have been degraded so often for so long I really dont have much of a selfesteem. I'm
socially awkward, shy, introverted and tired of being alone. But I am not willing to run off with just anyone. I'm laid back, easy going and take things as they arise. I don't like drama for drama's sake and can not stand reality TV.
I have not been on a date in over fifteen years and have never been comfortable makimg the first move. I feel so self conscious that I am going to say the wrong thing and it will be taken completely opposite of what I intended.
I find myself here as a surprise, thinking how my life has turned out
