Here's a little about me... I was born in South Korea but adopted as a baby by a family from Iowa. I actually went back to live and work in South Korea for two years after graduating college and really enjoyed it. My extended family is Catholic, but my parents are agnostic so I wasn't raised as a Christian; however, I became a Christian (non-denominational) in college when someone reached out to study the Bible with me. I have a passion for learning and feel like God has directed me to have an impact through my interest in computer science and artificial intelligence. Despite having a deep interest in the fields behind much of technology today, I'm not really into social media or even the recent hype around A.I.
My demeanor is pretty laid back and gentle but also direct, and my sense of humor is on the dry side. I take important matters seriously but also like to infuse humor into situations when needed. Being productive is pretty important to me, so I try to live a simple life and not overcomplicate things. I'm a fairly good listener and can usually connect well with a variety of people without requiring many words.
I probably match best with someone who is relatively laid back and humble. I also enjoy the company of people who are responsible, mature, gracious, and have good judgment. I think most of that comes automatically with someone who is trying to live the Christian life though. Similar values are more important to me than sharing the same hobbies, but feel free to check out my hobbies. I'm ultimately looking for a long-term relationship that would eventually lead to marriage if things work out, but am also open to just making friends and networking with people in the local area.
