- About Me
-
I’m bookish, curious, and probably happiest when life has a little beauty and enchantment in it. I love literature, theology, history, old churches, long conversations, coffee shops, bookstores, cycling, hiking, road trips, and wandering around places with a story behind them. I teach at a classical Christian school, which suits me well: I genuinely enjoy books, language, ideas, and helping young people learn to see the world more clearly.
My faith is at the center of my life, but I don’t think that means life should be grim or relentlessly serious. I like witty and understated humor, spontaneous adventures, beautiful music, and the kind of ordinary domestic life that becomes wonderful because of who you share it with.
I’m affectionate and romantic by nature. I value kindness, loyalty, emotional honesty, curiosity, and the ability to delight in another person. I’m drawn to women who have an inner life of their own, who enjoy learning and conversation, and who can be both thoughtful and playful. I don’t need someone who fits a particular domestic stereotype. I’d be just as happy with someone who sometimes leaves the dishes because she got absorbed in a book or wants to disappear with me to a coffee shop for the afternoon.
I’m looking for a relationship that can become a real marriage: shared faith, friendship, attraction, affection, laughter, and the sense that we have genuinely chosen one another. Every day.
- First Date
- Catching a bite to eat at a small, relatively quiet venue where we can converse, followed by a visit to somewhere beautiful ---like a walk through a charming street, historic district, or scenic trail.
