- About Me
Although I go to a Presbyterian church, I actually consider myself Reformed Baptist. I enjoy doing those things which are pleasing to God, such as worship, prayer, fellowship, evangelism and just feasting on the things of God. I am a Christian 24/7, and not just on Sunday mornings. I am a sinner saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and not of works so that I may not boast. I am a Christian Hedonist, which means that my greatest joy is the Lord God Almighty.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord , and on his law he meditates day and night.
FYI, my profile states that I do not drink, but in actuality I am not against drinking(the Bible doesn't say drinking is a sin, but drunkenness is). I personally do drink on occasions. This would fall under the category/concept of what's called Christian liberty of conscience, as explained in Romans 14. But the same also tells us to not be a stumbling block to our weaker(we are all weak one way or another) brothers/sisters, and so in order to not be a stumbling block to a sister in Christ who would be my future wife, I would refrain from drinking, if it was offensive to her. I would rather do everything I can to encourage her in the Lord, and not do anything which would have the potential to offend her or discourage her in the Lord.
I am conservative in my Christian values, and probably much more conservative than what most people consider conservative. I believe the Scriptures(The Bible) are the sole authority in all areas of life, including marriage. I believe marriage ultimately points to the relationship between Christ and his the church, which is called the Bride of Christ. Eph 5:22-33, and therefor marriage should imitate that relationship in every way possible. Husbands must love their wives. Care for and cherish her, as she is the weaker vessel, to the extent of even dying for her, as Christ died for his bride(the church). Wives must respect their husbands and submit to them, as the church submits to Christ who is the head.
Also also, if it is Sunday, don't expect a response from me, as I do not browse social media on Sundays, being that it is the sabbath day.
