I have never been married. I have three children whom I rescued from an environment of severe neglect. I am at a point in my life where it is way past time to settle down, but do not mistake this for desperation. I have been single because I do not believe in divorce and want to make the right decision the first time as there will only be a one time for me. I have also waited to settle down while I got an education and career. I have two degrees, one in nursing and the other in psychology.
I would like to find a nice, kind gentleman who has integrity, motivation, and is not afraid of commitment. I want a man who loves the Lord and is not only willing but able to be the spiritual head of the household. I believe that a marital relationship should be based on Christ as the foundation. If this truly is the case, then the remainder of my desires should come easily. Those being mutual love, respect, and honor.
God made me a female and, as such, I want to be treated as a lady. I want to be pursued by the man who loves me and want to know that I am important to him. I don't want to sound selfish though, as I know that relationships are two-way streets and must be give and take. I believe I have a lot to offer and am ready to share my love with the man God has for me.
I know that in today's society it is extremely difficult to find someone who has maintained their virginity past high school, let alone into middle adulthood. I understand that none of us are perfect. There were only two men who walked on water and Peter sank after only a couple of steps! I will not cast judgment or hold it against you if you are not a virgin. However, I truly believe that God knows how important this aspect is to me and is well capable of providing a man who holds this just as important. [While this is extremely important to me, it is not exclusionary. Widowhood is acceptable and I know there are Biblical grounds for divorce as well.]
I have a sense of humor and think that this is important in relationships. I come from a large family and have to have a sense of humor just to survive. I enjoy playing games particularly card and board games. One game that I do not like to play though is with emotions. I love the outdoors and am easily captivated by the wonder of God's creation!
I retired from the military due to medical issues. There are no proverbial "strings attached" to keep me in my current location and I am excited to see where God leads. With that in mind, please do not overlook my profile because I am not within your local vicinity. I am ready to start a new chapter in my life.
Having said all of that, my parents live with me and help take care of my three children, all of which have severe ADHD!
