Hey, I am a 36 year old Christain single woman who loves God with all my heart but struggling with a strong hold. I am a recovering sex addict and I know that that sounds really bad for a woman. But it is so true. I have for years loved to have sex and watch or read anything dealing with sex. Now that I am submitting myself to God this has been a real struggle for me. I want to be married and I am really questioning if it is for God's glory or to meet my needs and desires. I am just writing because I am so tired of the struggle and I feel like there is no one who understands what I am going through. I have tired to stop for years and every year I fall. I am greatly afaraid of the consequences of sin but it is like I have episodes and I feel like I am not even the same person and I just have to fill that desire. I am so tired. I love God with all my heart and want desparetly to please Him. What is wrong with me. I need answers. Can anyone offer me some advice.
It is really too bad that you are dealing with all of that but i would like to say that God knows how you are really struggling with sexual sin but i hope you surrender everything to God( Mathew 11:28)
You really cannot do it on your own sister! Pray and cry to God! He is faithfull...1 John 1:9.
And rember that God will never despise a broken and contite heart!
Jesus said if you love me will obey my commandments. Whoever believes has overcome the world because Jesus has overcame the world.
There is a difference in thinking that you love and knowing that you love the lord. You must know, believe and act on the word of God.
Apostle Paul said that he knows what is right to do and he prepares to do it but when it comes the time to do it he does the opposite. This is the position that you are in wright now. The apostle realized that he does not have control, that he was trapped in sin. He asked God for deliverance, all you need to do is totally surrender to God, when you feel the urge for sex, you must rebuke that spirit with the word of God.
You have to say I rebuke the spirit of sex addiction, in the name of Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome.
There is no addiction that the blood of Jesus cannot break, but you must walk in the spirit to be able to resist the desires of sex addiction.
Read the word, act on the word pray and you will be delivered by the precious blood of Jesus. Faith without action is dead.
Please meditate upon this Scripture,and Remember that Yeshua is the one which has revealed the Nmae of YHWH to us,and He has also revealed every compound name of YHWH also.

addiction of any kind is bondagfe that we are not meant to live in, #1 I was addicted but I am no longer an addicted, once and addict always an addict is a lie satan has sold the world it is unbiblical! you can be deliverd from your bondage God will not withhold any good thing from us, it simply takes out faith God is no respector of persons what he will do for me (deliverd me from adiction to tobacco drugs and drinking) he will do for you! The truth is He already has done it Jesus broke our chains at calvary and when we accept Him and hid grace and experience the new birth we are deliverd He has done his part, God never ever skimps on his promises but he have a lack of faith we dont believe sometime that we are a new dcreature free from addiction and bondage so we keep living in the bondage that satan has convinced us we are still in, its like a dog thats lived in an electric fence if his master turns off the fence the dog will still live within those boundries!
Your flesh does not believe your free so you still livr inside the cage that satan has put you in when all you have to do is have faith inthe salvation and frredom that you have ands walk out!
and faith is not just something you can muster up, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word so read reaad read, go to church and pray pray pray!!! praise god thank him for everything he has done for you thank him and admit that you have to have him give you the faith you need! You must realize it is not within yourself to do anything on your own! you must live every day avery moment with Him at the front of your mind the more you pray and read the stronger your faith wil become and the easier it will be to abstain!
Also you need to realize that He is there alwasy He is your husband and he will never leave you , i understand this addiction you are living in and I know that mostly it is you needing that attention needing that love the love he is alreaady giving you! just spend time with him let Him reveal himself to you ! He is what you need not man!
When you start leaning on him for those needs that all women have for knowing they are loved you will bewgin to realize he is the best husband you could ever have! He will take those ungodly physical desires and smother them out and the emotional need you have for love and attention he will feel!
i promise start getting up an hour earlyier every day and ernestly and honestly spend it with God really lay down in the floor stretch your hands out in swubmission and focus on Him praise him and pray for one hour at least focus on nothing else every single day ande that will strengthen you to the point that you wil have absolutly no problem staying away from this sexual sin!
You see god tells us to pray but he does not need our prayers all though he loves us and wants us to pray he tells us to pray for our own edification! try it and message me if you want to talk or have any questions that I can help amswer as i have been through this not with sex but with other bondage and i have helped other women over some these types of bondage! through Christ all things are possible
I truly believe you have no problem in desiring sex. Some people have high sex drives. The hurdle is not having a marriage partner to express the love you have to share. It's your inner wiring. And when you go a long period of time without that marriage partner there, it can feel overwhelming at moments. The pornography part is what you want to avoid. I agree strongly with the others that prayer is key. Jesus loves you, created you and has a plan for your life and is already working that plan. Continue to pray and ask the Lord to bring the man in your life He would have for you. In the meantime, stay with what you know to do as a Christian in the body of Christ.

stength to reject premarital sex. Often times people to not like to confuse that they have problems in this area. But when you confess your sin, God can deliver You.

Dear sister, let me adress what George said with some scripture!! what then shall we continue in sin that grace must abound? God forbid!!
all though we are now one with Christ it does not ever make it ok to cuntinue in our sin, we must get free from the bondage! Further more it would be shameful to get salvation and except what Jesus did on the cross and then still continue in the sin that Jesus bore the sins of the world were on his back he was humiliated and shamed for them! So how can we not get frre from them?
Dont let george convince you that its ok it most definatly is not! In fact I dont wnt to hurt your feelings but I love you so I must tell you what the truth is! Sexual sin is an aboniation and what theyt means is that it is disgusting to God!
He hates sexual sin it disgusts him!
And if you will alwasy try to keep the Lord in the fromt of your mind with everything you do all the time, then when this sin comes up you wont do it because you will be thinking about how it disgusts God!
Sweetheart, the problem as I see it spiritually is, that you are not struggling with your faith, because you says you believe and love the Lord...you are struggling with sin.. could this be because you have not totally laid ALL your sins on the altar before God in repentance?
Therefore the devil is using this sexual sin factor to prove to God that you are not one of His children... as you know the devil is the accuser of the brethens and the sistern, and you are playing right into his hands...
God says, that we are not indebted (obligated) to no longer satisfy our flesh as we did before we came to know Jesus Christ, when we are truly born again and have been converted... and if you are still obeying the commands of your flesh, then no matter how much you say you love the Lord, if you are not in obedience you are still in your sins and have not been truly been converted by the Holy Spirit of God, because you have not totally repented... you are hanging on to the sex because it makes you feel good, but the feel good part of it makes God feel bad and hurts His heart.
Therfore you must ask yourself, who are you to please your flesh and what makes you feel good for about a given two fleeting minutes:laugh:... or should you be more concerned about how pleasing you are to God for eternity, and what makes Him feel good when he can call you one of His faithful servants who is led by His Holy Spirit?... and not by the spirit of sin which is of the flesh in obedience to the devil?... Romans chapter 6
When we have not completely repented and turned away from ALL OF OUR SINS, this gives place to the devil to accuse us before God, and to entice us to do those things dispelasing to God.
There is a war going inside of you, and God can't deliver you in the war unless you cry out to Him and tell HIm you SURRENDER COMPLETELY TO HIM, in this matter, and turn it over to Jesus and He will work it out... and only then, will He fight your battles and bring you victory. Your totally repentance is what God is after...until such repentance God will continue to allow the devil to tempt you and allow you to given in to the urges of your flesh until you come to your senses and repent...
However, I am confident of this one thing, that you will be an overcomer in Chirst Jesus, and I pray you will take the time to read Romans chapter 6, chapter 7, and chapter 8 and truly repent of your sexual sins and be set free and delivered, never to sin no more, call it out as to what it is, in the powerful name of Jesus Chirst. Amen!
