Talk about things to come.

Talk about things to come. There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it is the way of death. (Proverbs)

America has long since been forecast as on the verge of some economic crisis. And a quote recently made famous by Rev. Jeremiah Wright that the chickens are coming home to roost. But the purpose, of hard times like with the (John 9:3) blind man, is that God can be glorified in giving His power to overcome. Overcomes are not chickens. If anything we are like the Eagles soaring high above the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches. What is the answer to every trouble we encounter? Jesus is the answer here now and in the world to come.

Amen. We came together as a nation to vote in everything that God hates (Abortion, Gay marriage, etc.), now if we can repent as a nation, God will turn from the judgment that America has fallen into. But out only hope is unity through Christ.

Unfortunately, many people will not believe that God will punish disobedience, and are blinded to what is happening. We are going down the road that Israel went down. Personally, I would rather not have to learn my lesson in this way, but nations are punished as a nation, not as individuals. Keep praying, it is out only hope.

Blessings,

Leon

Indeed indeed, but for one I'd rather be represented by a Dove than a bird of prey...

...secondly, seeing as the Bible states that The Lucifer did inherit the earth and were are there fore sent out as sheep amongst wolves in that the world conducts itself under subversive Luciferian standards...

...I wonder why hardly any Christians see and realize that this economic crisis along with many other things are merely pre-orchestrated in order to dupe man kind into accepting the New World Order as spoke about by the Essenes, The Book of Revelation, and others...

Again I say, be ye therefore wise as serpent and as innocent as doves as Jesus states in the book of Matthew.

If we, as Christians, are not in debt, and living as taught, are working for our daily bread - are we not way ahead of those caught up in the buracracy? He shall sustain us.

You work as a A&D counselor........how many of those are dept free. People come from many different backgrounds and circumstances and then they are called of God and adopted into His family, so what is it that makes the poor man working to pay dept any less than the rich giving from the abundance of his wealth. Many Christians do not think along those lines. May you explain?

Ive had some experience with A&D counseling. Psychology, self help books and how to make a marriage work all have that common thread of how to take charge of your life and still keep Romans 13:8,

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

This law is also called the greatest commandment and the royal law of Love,

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.

Theses people caught in self-destructive behaviors need to first love themselves in order to love others.

Jesus came to set (these) captives free. Being debt free is good but being Free Indeed is even better.

Todays economic crisis is hard for those who have worked hard, played by the rules and paid their dues. The poor have less to lose. As a result those who have made it (money) feel less need for God. While the poor, down & out, downtrodden, addicted or depressed really really feel a need for God. This economy has shaken some more than others. Heb. 12:27, the removal of things that are shakenthat is, things that have been madein order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.

we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, 2 Thessalonians 2:1b-2.

The problem comes from an attitude of storing up treasures on earth so we can kick back and take it easy

While everyone else suffers.

I like to practice Psychology (without a license) LOL, but a minister that councils according to God's principles can be very effective with anyone whether they are believers or not.

Hello Dear... since many Christians are in debt, are living as taught and earning their daily bread, I am having difficulty understanding your statement... especially the part of being way ahead of anyone ... I know it was not your intent, but somehow it comes across as judgemental and perhaps even a little " better than you " ...could you please shed enlightenment ... thank you and have a blessed day

Maybe maybe not, its not about self pride and what you can do for yourself, but its about what you can do for others...1st Century Christians were socialists Acts 2:44-46 and Acts 4:32-35 they thought way different than you and I think...a lot of people think that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson the founding fathers had it all figured out and that their system was perfect, but they knew it was not perfect, they saw Capitalism as a system that was built on Slavery and they knew there was something wrong about it, but they were not sure what to do about it and still make it work. Today we do not have slavery any more but you still have people working very hard for minimum wage while the corporate head just sits in his office all day surfing the Internet earning 10,000 dollars an hour..there is something unjust about that, and I'm telling you now that God will not put up with that forever....Thomas Jefferson once said that Democracy is a very bad form of government, it is one step removed from mob rule, the problem is that the others are so much worse. We are not blessed by God because we are good...because we are not good, it is by his grace that we are blessed...and his grace alone...
