"Recent studies have shown that Christians are more willing to replace their scriptural beliefs with modern cultural trends, according to Christian Mingle and JDate. A poll titled '2014 State of Dating in America' reveals the following:

* 61% of Christians said they would have sex before marriage.

* 56% said that its appropriate to move in with someone after dating for 6 months to 2 years."

ordering a drink at a bar doesn't mean you're going to drink it either. but if you paid for it and it's right in front of you, why wouldn't you drink it? same is true about moving in... :-/

"But among you there must NOT EVEN A HINT of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people." (Ephesians 5:3)

not even a hint huh? well thats a bit of a grey area.

what is a hint? moving in with your bf/gf may be a hint of sexual immorality to you but not to me. How far must one cross the line before it is deemed a hint of sexual immorality? Everyone might have an imaginary line in their head but is there a standard? Many people don't think moving in is a hint of sexual immorality but you do. so does that make it a sin because YOU think it's a hint?

To some people, going out on a date alone and not being married is a hint of sexual immorality. Does that make dating a sin?

So, could students houseshare with members of the opposite sex? The world may assume they'll go at it like rabbits, but that's because that's the world's standard and how itself behaves, not necessarily the truth. And in the end, the world's opinion counts for nothing, only God's judgement does.
