Can we all admit this is the *worst* aspect of online dating? The about me section? It forces us to be introspective about ourselves, and that makes most of us nervous because it seems like we're on an episode of Shark Tank trying to sell something.
But this isn't about making a million dollars--just trying to find that person that makes us feel *like* a million dollars :)
I recently made the cross-country move from Alaska to Maryland, where I’m going to be a teacher.
I'm fairly extroverted, but enjoy quiet, home, down time as well. I'm one of those people who could walk into a room and enter into a conversation with someone, no problem. The pandemic has certainly affected me on that front--not being able to easily be around tons of people or socialize to charge my spirit. I think being this way, God-created, drew me into ministry. I love people. All people. I love hearing peoples' stories, their joys, their sorrows -- all of it. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and am a pretty open person.
So what am I looking for? I would love to meet someone with a zeal for life--who loves the tension between the known and unknown. Someone who is secure in themselves, can communicate their needs and understands we've all got quirks and are a work in progress with Jesus. Who wants to grow spiritually with someone while growing old. Do you yearn to pray with someone, read devotionals together, and worship in the living room? Awesome! Love to laugh, can be goofy sometimes, and make up stupid dances in the kitchen on a Friday night? Sweet! Do you love serving your community but know when it's time to step back and self-care?
