I am a strong and kind woman. I am generous, fun-loving, faithful, and loyal. I am not materialistic in any way. Furthermore, I devoted my entire life to raising my son and put my love life on hold. But he’s grown, has his own family, so now it’s my time to find my soulmate and the happiness that evolves as a result.
I don’t have a perfect body or face, but others tell me that I have a heart of gold. Being 62, I show some signs of wear, and I don’t deny it. However, I am very comfortable in my own skin.
I am naturally a nurturing person. Perhaps that is why nursing is a good fit for me. I love to cook for others, and it makes me happy to care for others. One of my hobbies is baking artisan bread. My specialty is Jalapeño cheddar bread.
I hold a doctorate in nursing. One of the things that really irritates me with some of my colleagues is that they seem to believe that holding a doctorate makes you a superior person. Holding a doctorate does not redeem you as a human being. What redeems us is our relationship with God and how we love our neighbors as ourselves.
I am a bit of a wine connoisseur. My favorites are a good Malbec or a good Merlot. I also enjoy Prosecco. I don't smoke, but I do vape.
I also believe that open lines of communication are the key to a good relationship. I am very demonstrative physically, and I love giving affection both physically and emotionally. This could be something as simple as holding hands or a peck on the cheek.
Dealbreakers are dishonesty and infidelity. When it comes to on-line dating, asking me for money is a huge no-no. This has already happened to me twice, and I blocked these men immediately.
I am very moderate politically. I do feel very strongly about doing something about the food insecurities that many people are experiencing. My church has a food pantry and I donate regularly. Our community has a food bank and I donate monthly. I hope to begin volunteering for them in the near future.
