- I'm a retired educator enjoying free time and unscheduled days. I like walks on the beach, watching sunrises and sunsets and collecting seashells. Tending my flower gardens brings me happiness and peace with an added atr of confidence. I prefer gentlemen (you know if you one!) who still practice what their mother and father taught them, who know how to respectfully treat a woman. I have been blessed to be able to feel when there is a need to give hugs, caring words, and other personal gestures. My pet peeve with men today is that they are not conversationalists. instead, they are thinking of what to say next that will make them look good, rather than really paying attention to the comversation at hand. I love reading !! Some of my fav genres are: post-apocalyptic books, chnristian romance, cowboy romance and detective/crime books.
