I am a fairly simple guy. I dont get to caught up in the world around me with all its hype. I try to keep my focus on Yahweh as much as I can. I work as as social worker in the field of counseling.
My Faith, Its the most important thing to me. I read and pray every day and see everything in this world to be worthless without Yahweh. I know in the end we will all be judged and our lives are over quite fast so I want to make sure I do my best in this life to please Yahweh. Yahweh will give everyone according to our works...this is our chance so let our focus and subsequent actions be on Yahweh.
Nominal Christians have no understanding of why the bible pictures the spiritual life as a race or as a warfare. They see no need to rid there lives of anything that may impede their progress in growing in faith and obedience.
Instead it should become our Job to exercise spiritual discipline to work our our salvation with 'fear and trembling.'
Yes we are only saved by faith in Yeshua's sacrifice however as James says I will show you my faith by my works... "What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? By no means! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?" The Torah is still valid, so should not be ignored.
Ps. An annoyance of mine is when I hear so called believers constantly thanking and loving the son without giving any gratitude to the Father. Remember it was the Father who sent the son and the son honoured and worshiped the Father who is greater. There is only one God and I believe we will one day be held accountable for such omittance. No where in scripture does Yeshua say to worship him, he directs all such worship to Yahweh.
