- About Me
The Psalms is my favorite book of the Bible. I have related it to the priorities in my life.
Psalm 74:12 But God is my King from long ago; he brings salvation on the earth.
God is my King and Ruler of my life. I have learned my life is much better when I am leaning on him.
Psalm 127:3-5 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior, are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man, whose quiver is full of them.
Family is very important to me. My quiver may only have 2 sons, but being and mother and grandmother is one of the best gifts God has given me bringing a fullness to my life that nothing else could.
Psalm 33:1-3 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous, it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.
Music has always been an important part of my life. I play piano and sing on a worship team. I really enjoy most music, my favorite being the old hymns southern gospel. I like other types of music such as jazz, country and contemporary christian, but it doesn’t pull at my heart like the hymns. Extra points if you are also a musician.
Psalm 19:1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
I love being in the outdoors, especially around water. God has really given us a lot to enjoy and praise him for in the NorthWest. We have the mountains, the beach and the gorge. Naming a favorite would , be like trying to choose a favorite child. Camping, short hikes or a walk in a local park, I love to enjoy the beauty he has given us. Some hikes I would love to do are Saddle Mountain, The steps to Windy Ridge, Harmony Falls to Spirit Lake and the various waterfall trails in the gorge.
