One of the first examples is found in the book of Exodus.

Israel is being miraculously delivered from bondage to Egypt.

Moses is performing REAL wonders (miracles) by the hand of God.

But the Egyptian magicians (enchanters) are performing magic tricks or “miracles” by the power of Satan.

Seems some theologians are divided between calling what the Egyptian magicians did in the presence of Moses and Pharaoh as either magic tricks or miracles.

So let’s take the first miracle of turning staffs into serpents. Moses, by the power of God, performed a real miracle by turning the staff of God into a living serpent and later turned it back into a staff.

Some English Bibles say the enchanters “did the same thing” (from Hebrew “thus so”) and turned their staffs into serpents but Moses’s staff, turned serpent, ate the Egyptian staffs, turned serpents.

It sure seems the Egyptian magicians simply performed a magic snake trick because we know Satan can’t create life and I’ve never heard of any magic trick that could create life either‼️‼️‼️

Worse yet, the magicians weren’t able to retrieve their snakes or their staffs‼️‼️😂🤣😇

One of my preacher friends believes the magicians actually turned their staffs into living snakes miraculously just like Moses did. He claims this because some English Bibles say “they (the magicians) did the same thing”‼️

But this is hardly a convincing argument proving that the magicians did EXACTLY the same thing‼️

AND as noted, the Hebrew is better translated “thus so” and these words or even the English words “the same thing” are rather weak to prove that point, especially in this particular context.

Then, there’s the water turned into blood.

Moses, by the power of God, miraculously turned waters everywhere into blood—even the great river‼️ Only by the grace of God where the Egyptians able to find clean water but only by digging for it‼️

So WHERE did the Egyptian magicians find water to use for their little magic trick⁉️⁉️⁉️

First let me ask this: If the magicians really possessed some sort of miraculous powers then why couldn’t they turn the bloody waters back to clear water⁉️⁉️

So where might the magicians get clear water? Perhaps the magicians borrowed some freshly dug well water and “thus so” by their enchantments, gave the appearance of turning water into blood.

This false miracle seemed to convince Pharaoh.

But that’s nothing.

Modern day charismatics, like Benny Hinn, perform false miracles too‼️‼️

Nevertheless, false miracles fool only stupid people—-all day long‼️‼️‼️

So...

What’s the difference between miracles performed by the finger of God and those “miracles” purportedly performed by Satan⁉️

Well, maybe this verse might help:

2 Thessalonians 2:9

“...that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and 👉👉false wonders...”

One of the sad consequences of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement’s slight of hand replacement of biblical miracles for “everything is a miracle” nonsense has been devastating for the church theologically and evangelistically

Not only has the concept of biblical miracles been blurred but now the Pentecostal/Charismatic church has lowered the intensity level of powerful biblical miracles to the weak level of pagan, witch doctor and voodoo “miracles”‼️‼️‼️‼️
