About Me
Please read my whole profile! I'm a bit shy when it comes to this sort of thing, so if I look interesting, don't be afraid to make the first move. Enjoy!
Wow, where to start? I guess a little bit about me would be a good place... My name is Beth. I'm 26, and most people say I'm pretty. I have a masters degree in music, I teach music at a small college, and I absolutely LOVE my job! I don't want to teach there forever, though. I dream of getting married, having kids, and being a stay-at-home mom and wife who teaches piano to supplement the family income.
God is the absolute most important thing in my life. I don't just go to church because that's the way I was raised; I go to church to learn more about my Savior and grow in Him daily. I don't always spend as much time in personal Bible study as I should, but I do try. I love going to group Bible studies with folks my own age. I'm actively involved in music ministry at my church. I also like working with children; unfortunately, my music work keeps me from doing as much as I would like...I can't do everything!!!
Family is another important thing to me. I'll be honest...I still live at home. My father is deceased, and I get along great with my mother and younger sisters. I'm not opposed to living on my own. I can certainly afford it. I just don't see much point when I can help out with household expenses and enjoy being around my family at the same time!
Some of my interests outside of church include reading (I always have a good book going), traveling (Ireland here I come...in a couple of years, anyway), musical theater, music in general, animals (I like cats especially, but I get along with most animals), and some sports (I like tennis...I'm great at chasing the ball; swimming is always fun, and mini golf is a new passion as well). And that sentence was WAY longer than any sentence should ever be!
Some pet peeves that everyone should know about up front: I don't like it when people promise to do something and never do it. I also get frustrated when people are always late. I don't like to watch nothing but sports on TV. I also don't like for someone to be so witty (in his own opinion) that he can't carry on an intelligent conversation. I hope this doesn't scare anyone off...that's not my intent. I just have to be honest!
As long as I'm being honest here, I must ask that you not contact me regarding anything serious if:
1)You are divorced (I believe it is a sin to divorce and re-marry. Yes, I know God can forgive, but that doesn't make it right for me.)
2)You are not a virgin (I have kept myself pure for marriage, and I hope you have too.)
3)You are not of a similar race (I'm a little flexible on this point!)
I hope I haven't offended anyone. I ran into some of these problems on another site, causing me to discontinue my account there. I want to avoid them here.
First Date
I think someplace public yet quiet would be nice. Perhaps a nice chat at a coffee shop, followed by a walk around a local park would be fun. I'm not very picky, but it seems that someplace where a good conversation can happen would be best. I would also want to meet there, not have someone pick me up at home. I like having my car in case I need to make a quick escape!!! But seriously, I would need to feel safe in any situation.
