About Me
I would like to meet like-minded people with which to become friends first. I find that I am much more comfortable around people of faith; I think perhaps its to do with soul-centered living, rather than the ego-driven life that is so common in western culture, especially in California. I prefer to focus on my contribution in society rather than on what extravagances I can obtain. Serving others and my community are my highest ideals. I am interested in meeting someone who enjoys the simple things in life, is healthy, is low drama, isnt too complicated, and can make time to spend with me, even if its only to run errands. Marriage is not foremost on my mind but I would consider it if the idea came up. ok.

Perhaps things about me might appear to be a contradiction; however, I am not complicated. I do have diverse interests. I am smart, confident, and do not shy way from confrontation, yet I remain open minded. I am not a competitive person. I follow motorsports avidly, occasionally off-road my pickup, tent camp every chance I get, and I occasionally can be a grease monkey (I tend to break things, I love fixing things, think Tim Taylor), so those are definitely redneck tendencies. I watch what I eat, love to cook spicy meals, and cannot get enough organic veggies, which may indicate gourmet habits. But I still eat carbs/junk and drink martinis once in a while. I live with a philosophical conviction and try to be spiritual, so that indicates some enlightenment. I consider myself to be a member of the apathetic party (dislike politics), but I do appreciate the outdoors and conserve water diligently. I am somewhat of a non-conformist, yet I have no tattoos and I am strict with my kids. Contradictions? I don't think so. It makes perfect sense in my fluid universe.

My priorities have become more spiritual over the past few years. I try to practice acceptance, non-judgment, contentment, and using my unique God-given talents for the betterment of humanity. I love seeing solutions spontaneously emerge.

I pray the rosary Daily. My favorite sayings and words of wisdom:

* There are only three answers to prayer: 1) ok, 2) not yet, 3) I have a better idea

* The ego judges and rejects with disdain and aggressiveness. The soul takes responsibility. The ego blames and transfers responsibility.

My employer moved me to San Diego 23 years ago.

My Music Anything except country or norteno. I love EDM.

My Occupation I have had the same professional career for 20 years since I graduated from engineering school. I work between three offices. I am a consultant advising government agencies and contractors on contract disputes on complex public works infrastructure projects.

I have lots of free time for someone special. I love Catalina Island or Palm Springs for quick getaways.

I own a condo in Del Mar, CA about one minute from the beach. I love it there but I am open to relocating. Off-grid anyone?
First Date
Homemade picnic dinner at the beach with Hendricks and St Germain martinis later. Netflix is cool too.
