I like to: Walk/hike (outdoors, not on treadmill--I don't mind an indoor walking facility); Metal detect; Read about history and GO to historical places; Travel; Be with a companion; Research ancestry/genealogy.
Three things I'm most thankful for...
My faith and a personal relationship with God through Jesus.
My country and my state; the liberty and freedoms I have because of our forefathers.
My family: children (2), grandchildren (6), sisters (2) and the Godly heritage of my ancestors.
Five things I can't live without are...
The love and companionship of a woman. I've tried.
The fellowship of my Christian family.
The knowledge that comes from God's Word.
Seeing the beauty of God's creation.
Being able to go where and when I want.
I was married for 44 years, after which my wife died of a six-year bout with cancer. I remarried several years later and was divorced after 6 months. I re-remarried, and my wife died of cancer. I worked for the Little Rock Police Dept. for 40 years, and retired 3 years ago (2015). I enjoy retirement, but want to share my life with a wonderful woman whom I can spoil. (Not being chauvinistic.)
