I'm only a year removed from the finality of divorce, so, despite being a serious person, I'm not ready for a serious commitment yet. That will come in time.
Christ is first. Everything else is subordinate to Him and His calling. That, of course, includes how I engage (and acknowledge failure) in relationship with all others.
I am physically active outside as often as I can make the time. I'm happiest when that activity involves forward movement under self-generated propulsion. I'm desperate to add a dog back into my life, but my current work schedule would not be fair to the hound, so I borrow from friends whenever possible.
My humor is dry, dark, and mildly inappropriate. To me, the funniest moment is the awkward pause when I'm the only one who realizes I've made a joke. That probably means I'm quite broken, but alas.

- First date will be low key. Probably a baseball or hockey game, not because I'm a fanatic of either. They both provide something entertaining to watch while allowing conversation.
Second date will probably involve a dog and a hike or a kayak.
