Satan turns tests into temptations to hate, get even and divorce AND to separate families.
Marriage partners who are now experiencing severe love tests need to do a serious self-examination. Perhaps your “love” has failed the test because it’s not patterned after God’s true love.
Recognizing that our love has failed is really an opportunity to depend solely upon God to enable—us who are weak lovers—to confess our lack of love as sin and to start loving the unlovable, ie your mates, the way God loves wicked people (we’re also wicked people)
I agree, in some really bad marriages, love is NOT AN EASY LIFT‼️‼️
I know personally how difficult it is to love some people. At the same time, I feel the conviction that my “love” isn’t God’s kind of love‼️‼️
The important take away gained from the “love” tests God allows in our lives—is the stark revelation that we do not love the way God loves!!
Time for self-examination and humble admission AND dependence on God to help us obey in our loves!!

Yes it does still exist. But we can’t be naive and assume that being a Christian makes you immune to what’s happening in the wider world. The sheer fact that there is provisions for how to deal with divorce amongst believers let’s you know it’s nothing new…:-)
