Verse of the Day - May 4, 2020
Posted : 4 May, 2020 09:58 AM

1 Sam 5:25 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.

What if only women could start a conversation?

There are dating sites that use that format.

Wondering why some people so strongly justify sex chat and pornography watching? IT IS A SIN!

This may come as a shock, but women do this too. Really, nobody should be doing it.

A question of love and ability...

Just be you. If that's not good enough for someone, then find someone else. We all have limitations and things we're good at. Don't let anybody convince you that you're not good enough, because you are, and you'll find someone.

I think she's beautiful!

So who is this mystery woman? I was curious who it might be after all your raving but I didn't see any profiles that were S. Africa only. There are definitely some beautiful women though. Anyway, good luck with it. :)

Pestilence: At least two real pestilence in America
Posted : 3 May, 2020 02:24 PM

I think people can overreact to certain pestilences. I put out fly traps on the back end of my property line. Probably 99.999 percent of the flies end up dead in the trap. As soon as I see the first fly of the season, usually when it starts to get warm out, I just hang at least one, and that's really all it takes.

Hornets don't necessarily bother me. Of course I don't want to get stung by one or any other form of wasp, but I don't recall ever getting attacked by one. Best thing is just to stay calm. Hornets can commit suicide by dismembering their stinger from their body, and unless they feel provoked, they'll generally just buzz around. These specific hornets aren't native, but in Japan where they are native, the people harvest and eat them.

Just remember, what someone views as a plague or a pestilence can actually be a blessing. Just like John the Baptist survived off locusts and wild honey. Sure it can be a plague, but it can also be dinner.

Matt 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

You chose this...

I don't think everybody is complaining. Dating can just be a bit complicated especially when you throw things like beliefs and distance into the equation. Plus, we have this thing called "social distancing" that complicates things all the more.

Just smile and be a light to others. :)

Matt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Verse of the Day - May 3, 2020

John 12:30-33 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.

TO ARGUE OR NOT TO ARGUE
Posted : 3 May, 2020 07:45 AM

needsafriend,

I just believe we can overly focus on what separates us from someone one rather that focus what we have in common. We are all individuals who need Christ, and we all have basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, and rest. Our struggles are often the same, and we are stronger together.

God bless. :)
