ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

UPDATE 03/23
All sorted on kidney translant (2019) front now and finally getting back to some normality healthwise. I had dropped weight to 70kg (from 90kg my fighting weight lol) so it realy sucked the life out of me, not to mention muscle mass etc. But Im still here :)

Looking for a good Christian woman to save the world with.....................

Loads of waffle written below over the last few years so grab a good strong drink and walk where others fear to tread!
Pics are a few years old now and dont have any recent ones. I now look like Steptoe lol

God in All Things

By Gerard Hughes (Jesuit)

Told to make himself at home, Jesus begins to invite his friends to your house. Who were his friends in 'the Gospels, what kind of people were they, and what did respectable, religious people say about them? Who is coming along your road now, what is happening to the curtains in the house opposite, and what is happening to local property values? How are things hi your own family and with your own circle of friends, now that Jesus's friends are also calling in?

You may then decide that it is not right to keep Jesus confined to your own house, so you arrange for him to give a little talk in your parish church. You remember the little talk he once gave to the chief priests, the scribes and the 'Pharisees as them that the tax-gatherers and the prostitutes would enter the kingdom of God before they did. He gives substantially the same sermon to the faithful of St Jude's parish church. There is uproar, and the parish loses its principal benefactors.

You return home with Jesus, who has now become the major problem or your life. As you ponder the question, 'What am I to do with him, you know you cannot ask him to leave, for he is the Lord of all creation, so what are you to do? Perhaps. you could look around the house carefully, find a suitable cupboard, clear it out, clean it up, decorate it no expense, and have good strong locks put on the door. You then invite Jesus to step inside, turn the lock on him, put flowers and a candle in front of the cupboard door, and every time you pass, you bow deeply, You now have Jesus in your house and he does not interfere any more!

Is this an image of what we have done with God? We lock Him away in the sacred, supernatural, heavenly, spiritual cupboard, where we can show great reverence, hold splendid services of worship, singing praises arid thanking God for the blessings bestowed on us and the prosperity granted us, This religious behaviour keeps Jesus out of the way, so that God no longer interferes in our everyday life.

In our journey towards God, we proceed like those small birds whose flight is in loops. They always seem to be about to drop, but the drop in their flight seems to urge them forward.

- Gerard W. Hughes

2021 -This is like a diary over many moons so its not always joined up for which I apologise. Bit like me in fact. I love to look after myself in mind, body and spirit cos after all the body is a temple isnt it. I also like looking after all creation and others. I guess I am an eternal dad. I love kids they are a priceless gift and I would adopt them all if I could. Recently in the news we see the hospitals taking parents to court so they can kill their children through neglect in switching off their life support instead of letting the families take the dear little innocents home. Who could do such a thing! The same with the death penalty such cold, calculating murder. How can that be any better than the evil killers facing such a penalty? We have a lot to answer for and it clearly shows democracy is an illusion. They (the rotten system with money as its false god) certainly dont act for me or you.

Update 2019 - had a kidney transplant and feel 100yrs older but getting better - It sucked the life out of me over the next year (might have been sepsis I caught at month 4) and i didnt seem to have a muscle left. I am now in competition with the blubber to rebuild my muscles at a faster rate then my stomach lol I am just about in control again. As ever God has been my rock and has been since I was born. So many gifts and blessings almost daily, well waking up is a gift so yes daily I'd say. But thats another story......................

I am a Catholic from many generations but I have seen the light and the false church/s have been leading us astray for centuries, Few christians are Christian because of this and the greatest threat to the planet today is from phoney Christian nations like bullyboy usa and us its western lapdogs the eu/uk/oz etc - Follow GOD alone.

WHERE have all the flowers gone? People seem obsessed with unreality tv and changing their natural beauty for a Frankenstein creation and loving it. Crazy but then if you dont really love yourself and God whats left but the snares of the devil!..........

Those who find beauty in all of nature will find themselves at one with the secrets of life itself - L Gilbert

I was disappointed to finally wake up and realise few Christians are Christian and that Luther split the church with good reason, he was no bogeyman after all. It's taken a lifetime to open my eyes and see what we have become. & realise the brainwashing was about as far from being Christian as can be. Jesus came to teach us above all its the deeds that count, not just talking about it. Genesis 1 tells us Gods plan for ALL creation...we cannot love God and abuse his creation. If the shepherds refuse to lead us properly then that's clearly why we have gone astray, and indeed the world turns it's back on God. I pray for the conversion of the church and our conversion and that we all strive for the perfection of being Christ like in everything we do and that includes our churches. My Catholic churches here do nothing but talk about God and spend, spend, spend. Not on the poor, but themselves. I get more solace from The Anglican church now, at least they try to do Gods work, here anyway.

Diary of St Faustina -Plead for Mercy for the World

Then I heard these words in my soul, "Your purpose and that of your companions is to unite yourselves with Me as closely as possible; through love You will reconcile earth with heaven, you will soften the just anger of God, and you will plead for mercy for the world".

Diary 531

Originally from London/Essex area recently moved to the countryside in East Midlands near Spalding UK. Though its somewhat flat here and very few decent walks unless you drive first, which kinda defeats the object in my world! So, maybe looking to move back South to this area.

Very practical and I have all the answers, if I don't, then I know a man who does (humour me, yes dear!) Cars. DIY, PCs etc. Shelves that list slightly to starboard are artistic rustic not botched! tsk:)

Seek just an honest, sincere friend/companion initially to talk, walk, drive, cycle and visit big old country houses, churches, villages, castles, museums, coast, countryside, motor sports, country pub lunch, laugh, joke, play silly games and have fun. Love walking and being outside. Love visiting English Heritage and National Trust properties and staying in quaint B&Bs or cottages and journeys in my campervan. Would love to set some challenges like walking Hadrian's Wall, Coast to Coast, Pilgrim's Way etc. Do a serious WW1 and WW2 research trip around Europe etc. I like to pick people up, dust them down, and see them on their way. Be nice to find someone to do that for me now and again :) Don't worry I don't want your body, well not yet anyway!

Looking for one special person rather than lots of friends, so, not into serial dating I'm afraid and no workaholics.

No one whose best friend comes in a bottle, or who drinks wine from a bucket and thinks wine has replaced tea! When they say its good for you, they mean a glass a day not a bottle! Drinking a bottle of wine alone at home each night is NOT social drinking so quit telling fibs you lot! Also no f.a.g ash lils, or anyone who doesn't care about themselves, or anyone or anything else. This includes each other, animals and our beautiful planet.

If you are loud, common, swear like a trooper, sex mad, nudist weirdo, swinger, take drugs or wanna look like a female Popeye I just aint your man! You need to get out and smell the flowers for your highs. However, I would be happy to try and save you :) The only swinging I do is from the trees!

Love a nice country pub. Love cinema and would like to get to know the theatre too. Once saw D ick Whittington with my son and it was way cool, but never quite got to see any more.

Love kids especially the little cootchy, cootchy ones. Just became a granpappy too, but they are only young so it will be a few years yet before I take them on grand adventures off the beaten track.

Great getaways would be by car with the top down, motorcycle with a bedroll and a whole new world of Highways to explore all over Europe and the UK, boat, camper, caravan, canoe from the start of the river to the end, hoping we don't meet any dueling banjos along the way, in no particular order, or hell we could try them all, for a week, year, forever. No beach bums or flying, unless its my own plane (as if!)

Great fun is anything with an engine, quads, jet skis, scooters etc. Sunbathing and sitting still on holiday is for mugs and lardies. That's not to say I am a super sport, just like doing things. I now have kidney disease since 1993 so I have slowed down a fair bit and not even sure I could still live up to some of my dreams & ambitions but what the heck I still give it a go. It's OK cos it will give you time to catch up anyway. Live one day at a time and leave the future to God :) Transplant in 2019 along with sepsis after so have aged about 150yrs since then haha

Nice adventure would be to walk The Pilgrims Way (yeah I know I am a parrot) Hadrian's Wall. Maybe canoe down, or is it up! The Thames to the source or cruise all the Canals of UK/Europe, oh wait AND around Britain's Coast. yeah that would be lovely jubbly.

Very much in to human and animal rights. Not just in spirit but in person too, so if you do not care about yourself, your life or your diet then we will not get on.
Hate cruelty and injustice, such a beautiful world why spoil it? The best things in life really are free and to love costs nothing. Love to talk, explore, learn and see how and what makes things tick, especially women. Though I doubt that's possible. I'm keen to discover which part of Venus you come from?

I am vegan with a great love for ALL of God's creation. I do not smoke, and I try to eat properly. I am a naturally thoughtful, caring and loving person and I do believe it's in the giving that we receive (an INFJ to those who know that stuff) though if something is worth saying, or something needs defending I'll always be the daddy! I cannot just stand by and let bad things happen to others or myself. I hate bullies with a passion. Just got rid of a canvas print business which I did part time and it was great, but too much alone. I'd also like to sell at boot sales and craft fayres, the prints would go down a storm and little bits n pieces I had previously rummaged for in ye olde shoppes n stuff :) Be great doing this in a camper cos I could have a siesta whilst you did all the work. I will wake in time to count the takings of course before you start all this two for me, one for him malarky!

GRUMPY OLD MAN SECTION -If you have NO picture, or unless you have a really good excuse and a written letter from your mother then no play with me. It's unfair! A picture paints a thousand words, so imagine the wristwork you would save! Oh and NO winks, flirts, kisses or any other lazy feeble efforts please, I want you throwing yourself at me.
So if you are not prepared to put a little effort in to emails or your profile then don't bother. I'm here to find a proper partner, not once a week email buddies, If you're too busy or lazy to write then I aint your man. If youre the sort who ignores contacts from other people I aint your man.

Guess that covers it for now. Come and say hello cos I really don't bite even though I might show my teeth, except by special request. If you don't, how on earth will I ever know you exist? Oh and please, no gold diggers or scammers I am a bit too smart for the likes of you. Remember God hears all and see's all.

Cheeky chappy loves to laugh, some good ole banter and make people happy.

So, you can go 50/50, phone a friend. Deal or no deal? Just friends initially and no strings. I don't want your body or your money. Yet! Just imagine were at a bus stop having a natter, that should remove any complications in introductions.

Eclectic taste in music. From Elvis to Horowitz, Dylan to Cash, Adele to Bassey, Motown to Rockabilly, Brahms to Sex Pistols. Love to read and my current favs are *The Sound of a wild snail eating* and *Into the wild*. Same with films, I love all sorts. Green Mile, Into the wild, Somewhere in time, anything with John Candy, all the vacation movies, One flew over the cuckoos nest. Like documentaries, nature and history programs. Current affairs though it's getting hard to find any honest news any more certainly here in the UK! Like to read, Thoreau, Tolstoy, The Bible, Non fiction, The Beano, Kahlil Gibran, Richard Rohr and the great philosophers.

Well that's enough rabbit for now from me. If you want to meet someone interesting who will make you laugh, cry, smile, grimace & feel good then hit that send button. Failing that you losers, I wish you well :)

Description of ideal friend or partner?

She would be a sweet, nice, considerate, thoughtful gal who still has the child in her and loves to play, loves kids and has a great sense of humour (she'll need it!). That's not to say I would not consider any of you other riff raff :)

As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said
"No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me. Woody Guthrie.
