- About Me
-
I am an elderly? (tho' not in attitude) man who has been born again for about 35 years (even that is debatable 'cos my first 'walk' with the Lord was about 50 years ago, but as I slipped, He held on to me and restored me about 35 years ago). I have had some real, serious 'setbacks' during my life and especially in the last two years, and now I'm seeking the Lord for the direction that He wants me to take.
I love to talk to people whom I know are fearing the Lord, and are seeking a deeper and richer knowledge of Him.
It annoys me when I meet people who know the Christian lingo, but their lifestyle betrays their true background. I still love them, but I would prefer not to be too close to them. It is probable that they know the deeper walk that they should be embracing but as long as there is no challenge from around them, they are content to continue to say the right thing at the right time and stay at that level. God wants us to be growing with Him all the time.
I am a Work in Progress and I enjoy people who also acknowledge that they are still WIP and do not try to cover up what they think is going to knock them down the Christian 'heirarchical' ladder. We are all on the same level. Rom 3:23 ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
- First Date
- At least coffee in a public place. Hopefully a beautiful country walk and then a meal so that we could find out a little about each other. Lots to talk about. Find enjoyment in each other. (if that's not there - forget it). This to be the pattern of first three dates. Just finding out and discerning. At second and third date, try to accommodate the likes/dislikes of my date which I may have not known about at date 1.
