At first, I had no idea what to write here.
If I am to write anything about myself to complete strangers, I'm in doubt. What matters? What do I want to convey to whom? Besides, any intro text will inevitably be misinterpreted.
Now, I more clearly than ever realize why I want to start a family. I'll share my motivation here.
I had been lonely all my life. Getting to know Christ 10+ years ago brought me relief, but not that I was an "enlightened" diligent disciple, not to mention God created humans to be with other humans.
I hadn't had anyone around I could trust. I've had a couple of good friends, but they never have time, although we've rescued each other in difficult situations.
In 2023, I met a new friend. We've spent time together regularly, supported each other and developed mutual trust.
One thing is to be deficient and craving. Another — is to experience a close connection with mutual involvement, trust, respect, and care. I feel more complete and satisfied. Now, I base my search on positive experience rather than avoidance of pain.
Also, over time, I've become more convinced that I need Christ and want to build my life on His foundation. Of course, I knew it since day 1, but I didn't trust it. Even Paul acknowledges: "For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing" (Rom 7:19). We are doomed to live through such a controversy, but at varying extend. Gladly, my heart now gravitates more towards Christ: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me" (Gal 2:20)
I believe that a union between two Christians might be amazingly beautiful and fulfilling — this drives my search, this is my destination.
