*PROTESTant (meaning I'm continuing the tradition of protesting Roman Catholicism)
*Calvinist (soteriologically speaking)
*Historical Premil (as opposed to dispensational)
*KJV Only (not in the 'cultic sense' where I think people reading other versions are damned, but I believe God has preserved His pure and perfect Word in the KJV)
*Bible literalist (It means what it says in it's natural context)
If any of those things are important to you, we'd probably get along great! Check out my YouTube channel to view some of my teachings (Kingram417)
*My faith is who I am. So, unless you take your faith very seriously, and desire to talk about Jesus ALL the time, we wont be compatible.*
What am I looking for?
Proverbs 31:30 - Favour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Titus 2:3-5 “3 The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,5 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
1st Peter 3:1-6 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.”
I desire a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart and seeks to live out a Godly life of holiness and obedience. I believe the characteristics found in verses like these are exemplified by a reverential awe of God and meekness and gentleness and temperance. A woman who fears the Lord, is one who is serious about her faith and self-controlled. She is not one prone to Gossip or revelry. A quiet spirit and gentle demeanor, along with strength, resolve and humility. I believe that ‘obedient to their husbands’ and ‘subjection,’ just means a willingness to be lead spiritually by their husbands. A teachable and gentle heart.
These first desires are primary. I’m not looking for a perfect woman, but one whose heart and desire is to be Biblical and obedient to God. She may not have all these characteristics in full maturity, but she desires to have them and is prayerfully striving towards them. I long for a wife that will pray with me every morning and night while in my arms. A woman who desires to study the Word by my side and allows me to teach and guide her in Scriptural matters. A woman who is not contentious, confrontational, and argumentative, but gentle and meek and humble. A woman who will pray for me and encourage me in matters of faith. A woman who will gently spur me on towards more and more holiness and will offer gentle and wise rebukes when she sees me stray from the path of righteousness. A woman who is completely loyal and would never gossip or slander me to others (friends or family), and keeps our private life private.
These I would call secondary, but important. In addition to that, I desire a woman who is playful and flirtatious (once we’re married). A woman who enjoys romance and sensuality with her husband. A woman to laugh with me and be silly with me. A woman who likes the idea of spending a weekend with me in a tent in the middle of the woods. A woman who enjoys car rides worshipping to good Godly music while holding my hand. A woman who prefers to snuggle on the couch over a night out on the town. A woman who doesn’t mind watching a movie or show, but is wise enough to recognize when it’s becoming idolatry or the show is too immoral to be beneficial. A woman who enjoys simple things and is not given to materialism or greed.
These are tertiary, and not really important, but would be nice to have. A woman who is relatively clean and organized. A woman who enjoys watching sports, and likes my teams. A woman who likes Christian rap and metal and good worship hymns. A woman who likes to cook. A woman who likes group settings and enjoys fellowshipping with other Christians. A woman willing to learn about things important to me and have deep discussions. And perhaps a woman interested in heating healthy, juicing, and going to the gym with me?
