"Do you think we will get through the Tribulation?"
Yes, we will get through the darkest period in human history. Praise the Lord. Ultimately, however, the goal is not to go to heaven for three, five, seven or one thousand years. Yeshua will return to establish the Kingdom of his Father. (See Zechariah 14.16). During that time, the nations go up to Jerusalem to celebrate the biblical festivals. People miss this, but the Feasts are spoken of as "a shadow of things to come" in Colossians 2:17. What is coming is the return of Yeshua the Messiah.
In Leviticus 23, the feasts of the Lord are described by the Hebrew word "moadim."
That word means "appointed times." They are also called sacred assemblies or "rehearsals". So what does all this mean? It means that believers who keep the Sabbath and observe biblical festivals are rehearsing what life will be like when Jesus returns. Shouldn't that be the goal of every Bible believer? Isn't walking with Christ striving, with God's grace, to be as close to God as possible in this life? Isn't it also a wonderful experience to rehearse what life will be like in the Millennium?
In the past, I was a regular sincere Christian. I celebrated traditions that were not in the Bible. I observed Christmas and Easter, as examples. When I read Deuteronomy 12.4 I was gob smacked:
"Do not worship the LORD your God as these heathen peoples worship their gods." I had come to realize that these traditions were from paganism. So, I repented.
Even though I was already saved, I became a Messianic Jew. For me, walking in Torah (God's instructions) does not mean keeping the commandments to earn salvation. It means walking closer to God out of love for Him. Thanks for asking the question. "May the Lord bless you and keep you."
