I was born in an environment where I was taught to earn God's salvation by good behavior. Learned at my late teens that was not possible and that I needed to have faith in Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior If i wanted to go to heaven and be blessed on earth. Set out to serve God in his Kingdom since then by trying to accomplish the checklist of a prosperous blessed filled life by doing the right thing.
In my adult life in trying to live the ideals of a "successful prosperous blessed life" defined by a potent mix of family & societal expectation and misleading doctrines, I endured humbling experiences of brokenness in light of Jacob and his self centered deceitful ways along with Moses's early days of self reliant ways. After over 10 years of church life, I finally understood what it means to be a self centered sinner who needs repentance and the grace of God to guide me in this walk of faith which is not a one time belief but an enduring one from beginning till the end through the work of the Holy Spirit.
"Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ" -Phillipians 3:8
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." -Ephesians 2:8,9
My goal in life is to live a life for God and be content on earth as I look heavenward. Only by the grace of God.
I'm a curious person in nature. Hence my favorite activity is exploring. Whether is it exploring countries, cultures, musics, sports (jogging, hiking, tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, football, basketball, swimming etc), tv, work (spent time in engineering, scientific research, project management, hotel management, teaching, tutoring, property management, financial analyst) or just spending time walking the dog when she was alive .
With God's given talent, skills and life experiences, I am currently serving as a volunteer worker assisting Christian NGOs involved among marginalized communities such as children, indigenous people and rural farmers.
