- I'm from USA currently living in Australia, a mother of 6 adult children (4 in USA, 2 in Australia), 11 grandchildren. I've been single for many years (divorced). I prefer to connect with people who are serious enough about their walk with YHWH God to genuinely study the scriptures and actually hear what they say and who also strive to live accordingly. None of us are perfect, but as a christian, this isn't a valid excuse to not sincerely be seeking for truth and doing our best to follow it. I have learned much more from home bible study and prayer than I have in any church. I attended church until about 15 years ago when i realised the environment grieved my, then 14yr old, daughter, because rather than teaching the bible they focused on discussing and planning worldly pleasures. Humility and self sacrifice for Christ were discouraged, they taught the people to serve themselves rather than to serve YHWH God. It would be a blessing to find like minded brethren on this site.
