This is Enri. I am indeed a spaniard. Working as a freelance Japanese translator. My field of interests, nevertheless, is quite vast. I was actually raised as a traditional catholic; not a “sola fide type of catholic”, but a "rational one". Still, I have some issues regarding faith. At the beginning I tried to dialectically oppose to its teachings...; but once I started to read Aquinas, Eckhart, Suárez, Scotus and John of the Cross…well, I was truly amazed by the subtleness of their thought; particularly Suárez. Medieval Philosophy is, regardless of its supposedly detrimental relationship with Theology, an extremely rich and rational body of thought. It is the main corpus; or rather we might say the foundation, of all modern and contemporary philosophy. Studying scholastic metaphysics is, undoubtedly, one of the best ways to understand and articulate reality. I am also pretty interested in slavic, german and nordic paganism; as well as in Taoism, Judaism and Vedanta. Comparative Philosophy of Religion truly is a fascinating subject.
I am not particularly fond of meaningless and irrational conversations; having said that, I am not pedantic . I am, however, a bit conservative. As a catholic (at least culturally speaking), I, obviously, think that we both males and females are created equal at the inception of the soul; it basically means that, in the eyes of God, the souls of ours are, indeed, of the same value and nature. Hence my desire to love my female. I am looking to solidify and maintain a proper relationship with a good woman; that is to say, a relationship that manifests itself in the form of sincerity and rationality . If God wills it, I would love to create a lovely family with a loyal woman; loyalty being the key term here.
