About Me
*NB: Please make sure about your "age restriction and Country" settings because sometimes people want to make contact, but cannot respond, even if one wants to. Of course I do understand that everyone has the personal choice. Thank you so much.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to take a look at my profile because it's not a short one. This is still and will always be a strange way of meeting someone for me, so please be patient when I'm either reluctant to answer the more personal questions at first.

Personality-wise I'm an introvert with some extrovert characteristics; down to earth with a good sense of humour and a fairly wide general knowledge or interests. Surely there's the serious side of me since life is definitely not only fun and games and all of us need to take responsibility. I appreciate a very simple lifestyle, not into materialism at all because that's not what life is about in God's view. We can't take anything with us when we leave this temporary dwelling; can we?

I was saved by the grace of God in 1991 when Jesus came into my life, though I was brought up in the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa and fairly religious. The old thing of being a "good and faithful Christian" on my way to Hell, but not acknowledging it though the Holy Spirit was convicting me. It took Him some time to change me after I came to salvation. Of course I'm still under re-construction as the rest of us, and in the process of being saved because since it's an ongoing process, and not only the normal road of sanctification. None of us are perfect; are we, therefore patience is something we all need to have with one another?

Life was up to now a bit of a struggle due to a few bad choices; some was made in not understanding what life was about when I was young, some in stubborn stupidity of which I'm ashamed of and of course there're the decisions that was made on my behalf over which I had control over when not an adult. Having said this concerning the latter; one need to let go of the past in order to live life to the fullest. Do I have regrets; surely quite a lot of them, yes. Do I live with resentment towards others who had played a role in my past hurts; definitely not. Do I still have to let go when the thoughts want to come back; of course yes, but it is a choice and part of laying down one's own will.

Am I perfect and hyper spiritual in the sense of being completely sanctified? No, I'm far from it and I am only too well aware of my old nature that needs to be conformed by dying to self and living a life of submitting myself to God's perfect will in spite of the hurt that comes along with His pruning. By the grace and mercy of Father God, Christ Jesus carried me through up to now, and by the strength given by His Holy Spirit because I cannot do it by myself and will never be able to do so until Christ Jesus returns or Him taking me before that. So, what you see is what you get!

Feel free to ask anything else and I'll be open with you since honesty is still the best policy. Be blessed in the name of Christ Jesus my Saviour and may you find your perfect soulmate, the one Abba Father has chosen for you...

P.S. I am not judgmental in any way, but it does worries or disturb me to see how many of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are partaking in things like Yoga, Martial Arts and the like. I have been there myself after becoming born-again, that is Karate at that stage and therefore I understand the dangers of being mislead. If the Holy Spirit is convincing you my dear fellow believer to stop these things, please do not waste time to do so because it is detrimental to our soul. If you want to chat to me about this you are more than welcome and I will not judge you for anything you might be involved in, which isn't from God because I am still struggling with some things and understand the battle against a very cunning enemy.
First Date
Well, it might sound like a clich, but a nice looooong chat over a cup of coffee or something cooler depending on the weather are always nice. Having a conversation is the most important thing since it's the very foundation of any kind of relationship. Trust and respect is earned, not a given. Watching a movie, going to some kind of a concert or the like won't be ideal, but if you want to I'm open for that as well.
