Looking for a Christian who believes Christ paid for healing in the atonement (not a cessationist). Probably calls himself Pentecostal, not Oneness Pentecostal, God bless you.
Bonus points if:
You are a computer programmer (I have website ideas)
You are willing to be intentional about getting regular counseling prayer
You know multiple languages
You send me your results for (Google) "Gretchen Rubin quiz."
If there's a non-fiction Christian genre, I've mostly extensively read in it: abiding life, singleness, marriage, inner healing, deliverance, counseling (and psychology in general), biographies, and less of most other things.
One of the most basic prayers you can prayer concerning any addiction is Michael Wells' "Lord, I give you this _______, and I thank you that no matter what, you have taken it." Then as you go binge or whatever behavior you are using to feel you are doing something about your feeling of helplessness, things fade. One lady or two got off the overeating, and one man got off drugs.
If you struggle with things that haven't gone away reading your staples like
the concise half of the Every Man's Battle series, and Cloud and Townsend's Boundaries' books, you might visit a deliverance ministry.
Some of the many people who see physical healings are Jonathan Shuttlesworth and Michael Koulianos.
Ki Dong Kim is one of many around the world who has seen dead raised to life.
Heidi Baker has seen 100+ raised from the dead.
David Hogan has seen 500+ people raised from the dead (he and his wife fast 7 months a year).
Check Youtube.
I've been described as 'she has eyes in the back of her soul.'
I would love to talk with some Christian men, although I don't know that I'm likely to want to talk long-term.
I have had 3 long-term crushes as an adult. I've come out of my shell to some extent, but am not likely to become an extrovert.
I'm a choleric-melancholy Rebel (lover-fighter). It's unlikely I would marry another Rebel (Gretchin Rubin has a quiz online).
Myers-Briggs, I'm an even middle on 2 of the 4 categories. 12/12 touch, 0 gifts, middle on words of affirmation, quality time, and acts of service.
I like to pray at night, and extensive times of fasting are something I would want the freedom to engage in, as long as I don't get much underweight.
To Calvinists: John Piper is a genius and wrote some lovely truths concerning joy, but read Dave Hunt's What Love is This?
