My name is Teresa. I am a high school math teacher but I have an engineering degree which I haven't used much. I currently live in Albuquerque but grew up in Oakland and the Basque Country.
I am a teacher because I love teaching and I am very social. I have two sons that I adopted, they are 16 years old. I met them when I was working as a teacher at their orphanage in Juarez. My mother is Basque, and I speak a little bit if Basque. I always feel like I am being pulled in very different directions and I recognize that the desires of my heart may not necessarily be God’s desires. The desire of my heart is to either go back to the Basque Country and plant a small church in my hometown since there is no church there or once the boy’s get older to work with Medair as a water systems engineer. Right now I have no idea if either of those plans will every pan out as God’s plans tend to be different from ours but those are things I dream about.
Outside of work, I like to play volleyball and swim. With the boys I rock climb and jog with a family jogging group.I am not good at either 🙂I also like to ferment things. I make kombucha and escabeche.
I love playing board games and chess.When I have lived by the beach I can spend hours in the ocean.
