God is morally perfect and just and we are like worms to Him. We are wicked from birth and deserving of Hell. The only way for God to justify forgiving us is by transferring our sins to Himself and suffering the wrath of God for us on the cross (2 Cor 5:21). By grace alone He suffered the wrath of God (Isa 53), separation from God (Ps 22), and wrath of man (Isa 53:3) for the salvation of His elect. By His knowledge Christ justified many because He bore their iniquities (Isa 53:11).
