I'm going to do something different here. Let me see if I get this right. You are trying to figure out who is trying to manipulate you into meeting them. You see people putting up false or old pictures of themselves, twisting the truth or lying in their profiles because they are trying to compete to meet you. Worse, often lying about what they want from you. You are trying to find someone who will be good for you, make you laugh, help you not be lonely by building a real growing relationship with you. Whatever the nature of that relationship is.
Me, I'm a very upstanding but somewhat eccentric guy. Tough childhood and teenage years made me someone who is more passionate about ideas than doing what others do. Why is how I end up at this age being in the best physical shape of my life. I live trying to find what is of true value to myself and others. Most of the time in mundane things like how much protein to take a day or training for a 5K, or just finding places to socialize online because of living in the middle of nowhere. It's not as important to me to jump out of a plane or seeing something as it is to own my life and believe that I spend the time I have well (though I am still riding roller coasters and am interested in riding horses again someday). I supported the development of a Bible transition, worked in a charity, acted on the stage for nine years, and have run my own business for about 15 years. I struggled because of living that way. I've always got another idea, always got another creative goal. Usually when it is just me doing it it works, but when it involves someone else it doesn't. I live for the day to day adventure and have a wealth of stories to tell and ideas to relate but never have anyone to tell them to. I put off relationships until later in life because relationships have been hard, but I am so enticed by the idea of what it might be like to have a good functional close relationship that I put myself on sites like this. What is it like when it is good, when people stop manipulating and using one another and work to make life happier for a partner?
What I'm doing these days is running my business, focusing more on workout and diet, and trying to find a way into an acting career, or a voiceover career, and ways to make Christianity less of an institution and more of a movement. I love to go to theme parks for the food and rides and shows and inspiration I draw from all of that and I exploring festivals and wondering how to be a positive influence in this divisive time
