My name is Melissa. I am a Christian gal who I looking for someone to call my best friend, who is a Christian that is dedicated in his walk to Christ, by asking the talk AND walking the walk. Animals are a huge part of my life, as I grew up in a home with a father who was a veterinarian, and I have 4 cats. My cats are not your typical cats.... they are spunky, mischievous, and each has their own dislikes and likes. They are a constant reminder to me to enjoy the small things in life and to find joy in most circumstances.
I enjoy helping people as well. I believe that there is no greater reward, than seeing a smile or hearing someone say thank you, giving you reassurance that you made a difference in their life. To me, that is a reward that can not be bought with money. The elderly population is the group that I really enjoy, especially hearing their stories and seeing how different their lives were compared to mine nowadays.
I do my best to respect everybody that I come in contact with. I don't have to like them nor agree with them, but I respect them because each person is made in the image of Christ, and therefore they deserve respect, even if they are undeserving. I would rather be remembered as someone who is caring and kind, rather than someone who is like the rest of the world.
I enjoy being in the great outdoors and seeing God's creation at it fullest, rather it is a sunset, the stars in the night sky, reflections in the water from the clouds or banks that surround the water, and seeing the different seasons, that He has given us.
I have been hurt a lot and that is partially due to me wearing my heart on my sleeve, so self- betterment is a constant work in progress for me as well as my walk in Christ.
