I believe that Jesus' death on the cross did not abolish the law and the prophets, contrary to what most Christian churches teach.
Jesus himself stated that he did not come to abolish the law or the prophets. Moreover, I think the Church either misunderstands the word "fulfill" or deliberately overlooks the phrase where Jesus mentioned, "until heaven and earth pass away." Clearly, heaven and earth have not yet passed away.
I maintain that the law was not given to non-Hebrews, but rather serves as a guide instead of a tool to condemn individuals as sinners.
Jesus said, "...and the scriptures cannot be broken." I share this belief.
I assert that the teaching claiming the Church has replaced Israel is incorrect.
It seems to me that we, as Christians, have relied on presuppositions to forge new laws or adapt God's word, aligning it with our theological preferences.
I seek someone who shares the realizations that I and other believers in the Messiah have had: Jesus was a Jew, and He abided by the law. We identify as Messianic Believers.
Nowadays, being a Christian appears to be merely a label, with individuals selectively interpreting scriptures to accommodate their worldviews. I aspire to remain faithful to the historical insights and wisdom that the scriptures illuminate, assisting me and the world in steering clear of the chaos we've engendered.
The Bible is such a framework. Yes our interpretations of the scriptures could be different but sharing the same principles and teachings is good.
Do Christian marriages perform better than the rest of the world? No!
Why? A lot of times being a Christian is about convenience and when things go south, people will adopt the ways of the world.
