- Aside from being a Christian, I’m a member of Co-Dependents Anonymous, because I have a condition that makes it difficult for me to be in relationships (codependency). I only work part time and I take psych meds. I don’t think I could handle children/excessive responsibility. I love to read; it keeps me sane. The Bible is important to me, but I’m a liberal Protestant not an evangelical. God’s not a tyrant. We shouldn’t be tyrants. (Not trying to point fingers; I’ll read almost anybody’s book.) I meditate, and I don’t find this to be inconsistent with my Christian faith. I started writing letters to prisoners. I don’t have what this world is looking for. All I have are my books, my vegetarian food—friends not food!—and my weirdness. And Jesus. Yay.

- Take turns reading from a book, or listen to an audiobook together, (I do the latter with my mom, although it can only be her books lol), and on subsequent dates we would read more out of the same book. This is because of (a) shared experience, etc, like a movie (we could also watch 20-30 minutes of a movie or TV show at a time: purchased, no commercials), and (b) alleviates the greatest moral risk of a relationship: cutting into Book Time.
