Life's a funny thing. Laugh a little.
I make my home in the foothills above Denver. It's beautiful and inconvenient. My little farm has seen mostly pastured poultry, rabbits, two floofy protectors, and some veg. Six years ago, I left the comforts and restrictions of curbs and gutters for fresh air and freedom with more wildlife than people as neighbors. It's nearly perfect.
Losing a spouse is not easy; cancer sucks. But God's grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. My two college-age kids and I find great help in the truths from Scripture that we have known and are now experiencing.
Who I'm looking for will appreciate light-heartedness and hope, while understanding grief and brokenness. He'll hold to Christ as if his life depends on Him (because it does.) He won't mind mud on the truck and cruising with the windows down. Musicality is a bonus. He'll appreciate a homemade chili on the woodstove that's different from last time because there's no real recipe. And he'll pause to enjoy the beauty of a good sunset.
