Here I am right in the middle of my 40's! I recently celebrated my one-and-only son's graduation from high school and I am looking forward to start dating in this new season of life. I am completely single. I have never been married, and have dated very little while my son was growing up. I work really hard at growing as a Christian and have done lots of work on my emotional health, too. I will match well with someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ, and who is actively a part of discipleship relationships with other believers. Casual Christians need not respond. Seriously. I love to read and discuss a good book, and am fascinated with understanding human interactions especially in the workplace and in families. Speaking of the workplace...I am a professional in the field of education. I have an master's degree in microbiology and used to be a school teacher. I value education and clear communication. My future partner will be someone who recognizes the value of boundaries and intentional communication. I'm also a very attracted to a quick wit and a good sense of humor. I like scary movies - like ghost stories, not necessarily "slasher films". I do not like Rom-Coms. My primary love languages are words of affirmation, quality time, and acts of service. I tend to fall right in the middle on the introvert-extrovert spectrum. I totally enjoy a good social event, but really need my alone time, too. I mostly like small groups of people so that all can talk and really get to know each other. I'm more into deep friendships with a few people rather than shallow relationships with many.

- Well, I've been on several coffee shop dates this past year. Whereas those can be okay, I think I'm ready to try something different and a bit more interesting. Maybe one of those axe throwing places! That seems kind of cool. There's a great BBQ place in Sacramento near the Golden 1 arena that has axe throwing. Want to go there?
