Greetings! My name is Alex. I am serving in Portugal as a missionary, but my roots are the West Coast of the USA. My family is in California, and my sending church and most friends are in Washington state.
I am looking for a relationship with a lady who loves Jesus, is faithful in a like-minded local church, and is willing to consider eventually following a husband overseas for the purpose of church-planting missions.
I enjoy spending time with people. I'm pretty straitforward about things, and enjoy intentional conversation and activities. But I'm also pretty lighthearded and laugh a lot.
I am a sinner saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. I have faith that in Christ's death and resurrection, my sin is paid for in full on the cross, satisfying the just wrath of God and I've received His righteousness as a free gift. I am no longer willing to sin, but when I do, it is all paid for by Christ. By God's grace I have also been called to full-time ministry, and I currently pastor at a Bible church as I prepare to go to Portugal as a missionary. All of Scripture is important to me, but a special text is Ephesians 2:1-10. Also 2 Corinthians 5:21, Psalm 119:37-38, Psalm 139:17-18, and Colossians 3:12-17. Some things I'd like to be on the same page on are the meaning and importance of the gospel, inerrancy, complementarianism, cessationism, believer's baptism, and the doctrines of grace.
