Being outdoors grounds me and there is no such thing as a bad day at the beach. I like to hike, especially when there’s a great destination like a waterfall or beach view. Full disclosure: I can be a bit geographically challenged without a trail map or someone who knows the way. My black lab is an adorable Guide Dogs for the Blind retired breeder and I take her with me whenever possible.
I love to spend time with family or close friends - making a meal together or playing backgammon. I enjoy live music at small venues (genres I gravitate towards are indie rock, folk, blue grass, and reggae) and finding treasures at the beach. I'm not great at it but I like to paint for fun. Exploring places I've never been is something I'd like to do with someone special. I love a crackling wood fire, rain on the roof, and clouds. I prefer cooler environs to balmy and smaller gatherings to crowds.
