- Both my grandfathers were Tohunga/ Moari Priest they were also cousins. I got to witness & experince there spiritual gifts. The spiritual concepts of the maori differ from the western worldview. I'd really like to meet someone who is also of indigenous origin and culture and knows of heard of matakite & makutu, and if there are other indigenous cultures whom uses these terms. I'm a spiritual person and believe the Bible is the manual & instruction to life.
