I have had Parkinson's disease for seven years. I deal with multiple symptoms on a daily basis. The most difficult one to live with is chronic pain. I can take care of my most basic needs but I can't do much work.
After 3 years of staying mostly in my bedroom I am getting out more. I deal on a daily basis with pain that is quite fiery at times. But during this suffering God has clearly spoken to me. He has given me a concern for the lost, a testimony, and a message to share. Someday, maybe sooner, maybe later, my pain will be over, and I will go to be with the Lord forever. Worst case scenario, I will only live a few more decades. Then, in heaven, there will be no more suffering, only peace and joy forever. But for those who do not know Christ, their pain will be just beginning, and it will last for eternity. I can sometimes find a little temporary reduction of pain, but in hell there is never any relief. I feel like I have tasted just a tiny bit of what that place of torment will be like, because of fiery pain in my body. When I think that what I feel now, is just a little of what the lost will suffer for eternity, and much worse, I can't stand the thought of it. I feel I must spend the rest of my days trying to turn the unsaved away from the path of destruction, and towards the cross.
I hope you already know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Our good works will not get us into heaven, only repenting from sin and trusting in the sacrifice of Christ on the cross will get us into heaven.
As God opens doors, I am reaching out to evangelize the unsaved in whatever way I can, and also fellowship with other Christians as much as possible. It is my hope to stir up others to win souls for the Lord. My testimony has already made it as far as Africa and the Lord seems to be opening up doors of ministry over there, utilizing the internet, as well as creating opportunities in the area where I live.
