Who is Jesus and why dies He matter to me:
Jesus is my God, Lord, Savior,
Redeemer, King, Father, my Groom
in the True Marriage of our Eternal
Covenant, Advocate, Creator, my
Passover, my Judge, my
Comforter, my Shield, and so so
much more.
He is our loving God who created
the heavens and the earth (Jn.1), came into the world to be made flesh (Jn.1:14), destroyed he that had power of death (Heb.2:14), and redeemed me from my sins for His love for me. And intercedes on throne as He gives me grace in my walk in life. (Heb.4:14-16)
Passions:
I'm a man of simple tastes who
loves the Lord's creation in the
outdoors from camping and
helping with my parent's homestead to horseback riding. Other interests
include writing (poetry, fantasy, and
Bible studies) and music (Piano and
Irish Whistle). Storytelling. The reading, hearing, and telling of tales has always been a great passion of mine. While I love adventures, I can also be a type of Hobbit who loves the peace and quiet as I sit still with reading a good book or writing. While I can enjoy seeing new places and beautiful sights, I am also quite content with enjoying the simple beauty the forests and hills offer as well. In all honesty, there’s just simply no place like home.
Scriptures that I often come back to as I look to Him for Grace and Rest in my walk:
Mt.11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that
labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest." - This truth is a
sweet promise that as I approach
Him through His Word (Ps.43:3-4;
119:105,130, Jn.17:17), He gives me
Rest. Always. And Grace (2Pet.1:2-4, Prov.2:1-6)

- Finding a wife is from the Lord (Prov.18:22;31:10). And I am continual reminded of the example in Isaac and Rebekah when the Lord provided her to him.
Gen 24:63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
Gen 24:64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
The use of the word “meditate” throughout scripture is almost always associated with God’s Word. So, the way the passage reads to me is that Isaac was meditating on what form and portion of God’s Word he had available to him. And as he was focussed on the Lord and His Word, when he looked up, the camels were coming.
If the Lord provides me a relationship and a wife, I know that it will be because He provided it, not because I went looking to make it happen. And it’s definitely not “trial and error”
All that being said, I’m not focussed on “First Date” right now. My approach to this whole online dating concept is let’s make friends and if the Lord will provide us a relationship in it, then He will make that clear. This is about us going to Him about this matter and seeing what does He have for us.
