About You
My relationship with my Lord and Savior directs my daily life. I’m looking for someone who lives the same way to share my life with. I’m the 65 yo adoptive mom to two young ladies. They bring such joy to my life. My biggest adventure was the ten days I spent in Ethiopia adopting one of them. I enjoy spending time in both Gods creation and my home. I love anything to do with water whether kayaking, swimming, cruising, snorkeling… I love roller coasters and the thrill of going upside down. I would love to try sky diving! I listen mostly to Christian music. I enjoy needlepoint, movies, walking, and would love to learn to hike and learn to love camping again. I’ve only been on a motorcycle once, but open to that kind of adventure. Love to cook and please others with that skill. What am I looking for? Someone to either go on that sky dive with me, or at least stand below, cheering me on! One who enjoys adventure, yet is happy at home with a movie and a bowl of popcorn. Most important, one who believes in the type of marriage outlined in the second half of Ephesians. A man who finds his strength by serving and loving God; who desires to lead the home as God directs; who listens to the wisdom of his wife, considering her words and desires. And me? I desire to have such trust in my husband and his faith that even when I don't agree with his decisions, I can trust his leadership in our relationship because I know he's a man of integrity and places his full trust in God. I’m still childlike, but not childish. I still see the world through eyes of wonder. I love Disneyland and believe in magic. I want to fly! Yet I find joy in simple. I see wonder in a starry sky, the magic in a shooting star. The simple act of holding hands and walking close. Sitting in church worshiping together. I recently heard of a widowed lady who said it was life’s littlest pleasures she missed the most, especially her beloved bringing her a coffee in bed every morning….. what a love story! While I live in the Portland, Oregon area, I am open to relocating if that is in God's will for me.
