I am a Catholic Convert
I knocked and it was opened to me
I had a questions no Protestant doctrine /and there are many out there / was able to give me answers for.
I prayed and asked God to reveal me the Truth and I devoted myself to experience the Truth ,even if it will be uncomfortable,I asked Holy Spirit to guide me
God gave me grace to understand where the Gospel came from and how formation of Holy Scripture took place
I understood how God has right to be worshipped the way He wants to be worshipped not the way humans think he could be worshipped
God revealed to us the difference in worshiping since Cain and Abel / one was giving left overs as sacrifice and other was giving the best for God/
I understood what Jesus meant when He said “Behold your Mother”
I understood that Mary wasn’t just an incubator for God incarnate as Martin Luther followers see Her ,but she was a new Eve and New Arc of the Covenant , the actual Mother of All Christians….with her complete submission to God being “Full of Grace” and giving birth to Christ she took very special place in Gods plan of salvation for humanity and she is dear to Our Saviour and Her Soul as it is written in Scripture “ Magnifies the Lord”
I understood that Catholic Church actually was mentioned by early Christians right after Jesus resurrection when Apostolic teachings started to get more based …I understood the translation of what it means “Universal Assembly of Christ Followers” and why Latin language is used as universal language in ceremonial aspects
I understood why Saints are mentioned in the Book of Revelation and throughout the Scriptures by Apostles
As a many Protestants, I was ignorant about who the founder of Protestant church was and how he suffered from gluttony,impurity and simply wasn’t able to deny his flesh and represent original teaching of Christ and why instead of calling out on imperfections of humans, he completely rejected the traditional church formation given us by Christ Himself .Also the Sacraments of the Universal Body of Christ makes so much sense to me now as an ex Protestant than it ever was
As everyone is on their different stages of Faith journey I will be honest and say,I would rather perceive my communications with someone who at the same stage of Faith journey as me.But it’s ultimately up to God to make it so ☺️
